OB Update (& Roommate Update too!)

Update from my OB visit on December 11th.

I was 36 weeks + 1 day at this visit

Vitals: all vitals looked good, including urine, weight, temperature, and blood pressure

Weight: At my last appointment I was 134 and hadn't gained any weight in 4 weeks. At this appointment I was 140! :O I almost want to say that that scale MUST be wrong, how could I have gained 6 pounds in just two weeks! Yikes! This kind of scares me, I know I still haven't gained too much but I don't want to gain more weight that I have to. I have gained a total of 29 lbs since I got pregnant.

Uterus: My uterus is measuring at 33 to 34 weeks, still behind by 2-3 weeks, I suppose it is good that it is still indeed steadily growing though.

NST: I got my first ever NST at this appointment! I never had one before with Seth so this was a new experience with me. My doctor said that my baby was happy and not in distress. WOO what a relief! The test also revealed that I was having tiny contractions, the nurse said these may just be Braxton Hicks. I could not feel any contractions, so they must have been really small, when I looked at the lines that she showed me on the chart that showed the contractions it looked like they were coming at a steady rate.

Notes: My doctor checked for Group B Strep and did the first exam to check on my cervix. He did confirm that Bear has indeed dropped even more. He said he is VERY low and he could even feel his head when he was doing my cervix exam. While my cervix is still closed and not dilated at all he said it was very soft and thinning out so Bear is "thinking" about coming out soon. He also ordered one last ultrasound to check on his growth, I have to go to that on Monday December 17th and then I have another appointment with my normal doctor again on Tuesday December 18th. I am now going to doctors appointments once a week and they are going to be doing an NST every time I go.

ROOMMATE UPDATE!
This update is the first KINDA good update about my roommates. When I came home from work on Monday I found a paper on my door from my apartment management. The paper stated that I needed to renew my lease by December 31st. It also stated that in order to sign a new lease I have to pass the apartment exam, and that they are doing the exam on Thursday December 13th whether I want them to or not. This immediately put me into super freak out mode because I had my roommates in my apartment (not on the lease) and their cats (also not on the lease)! And it wasn't like they could just leave for the day because it was very extremely obvious that more than one person lives in my house. And not to mention the fact that my house was STILL a mess and needed to be spotless for the exam in.... two days! SO I had to come up with a solution. Once I did come up with a solution, the problem kind of turned into a relief :] I decided to rent my roommates a storage unit since they claim they have no money (who knows if that is actually true or not). I told them that everything must be out of my house by Wednesday night including their cats and agreed to let them crash on my couch until they were able to sleep in their own apartment around the 19th. They did not seem to have a problem with this. Yesterday we cleaned the rest of the kitchen and it looks fantastic. They moved out half of their stuff but there is still a TON to go, and a lot of cleaning to do on their part, the floors still need to be vacuumed, their room and bathroom still needs to be cleaned, and the cats messy litter room also needs to be cleaned, as well as some other random things. I am quite nervous that they will not get this done by the end of today! I went to sleep last night at 8 PM and they said before I went to sleep it would be done by the morning and when I woke up, the house looked exactly the same as it did when I went to sleep. There was even more cat vomit on my freshly scrubbed floors and a pile of new dirty dishes in the sink! (after I specifically told them to wash the dishes and not to pile them up). For now I am just going to hope for the best maybe I will be pleasantly surprised when I come home from work today, if not, I will probably be pulling an all-nighter to make sure it all gets done. But either way this is a good thing because the ball is finally rolling and things are getting done. I should be able to start on the nursery this weekend too. I really hope that the house stays clean for the rest of the time that they are here and that they do not trash it once again before they leave next week. God please help me.
