This Dog of Mine...

Is driving me crazy!!!

If it isn't one thing it's another. It is like his behavior is on the a huge decline. Anthony and I sort of think he is acting out because he is jealous of Bear and wants attention. Ever since Bear was born Charlie has just turned into a problem dog. I love him I really do, and I am trying so very hard but I do not know how much more of this I can take!

It started with him peeing in the house. He would pee even though we took him out. I don't mean like once in a while I mean like EVERYDAY sometimes even two or three times in one day. He is house trained and he knows that it is wrong. That is why he won't ever pee while there are people around in the same room. He always waits until we are sleeping or out of the house, or if we are distracted he will go into the bedroom and pee on the floor. And people, we have carpet! He is staining it more and more by the day and we do not know what to do. He even hides it by covering it up with clothes or blankets or anything he can find. So sometimes we miss it and it soaks in and makes a really bad stain.

Then he started pooping in the house! So now he is doing both inside for no reason! He once pooped at least 5 times in a pile of CLEAN laundry and hid it in the clothes. We did not find out for days later. Yes I know my bad for leaving clean laundry out for days and not putting it up, but STILL unacceptable on his behalf!

So we decided to suck it up and rough it out in hopes that it will get better. It did, a little but he is still peeing and pooping inside the house, only about 2 times a week now though. But he has started doing other things that are less than favorable.

He started eating the garbage, which he never used to do before! So we can no longer leave the garbage bag on the floor (meaning not in the garbage can) because sometimes we take the bag out of the can and set it on the floor so we can fit more in it. Well, we can't do that anymore cuz Charlie will tear it all up. One day Anthony came home from dropping me off at work to find the WHOLE house covered in garbage! and not to mention sauces and God knows what else smeared all over the carpet! We learned quick on this one and never left the garbage out of the can again since, but really... it annoys me that we can not do that.

He has also started eating and tearing apart dirty diapers! Sometimes we are tired and forget to take a dirty diaper to the trash and leave it on the changing mat (which is on the floor). Charlie is now eating them! He tears them open and throws the poopy mess all over the house and digs in. I know if we were more careful and made sure we always put them in the trash this would not be an issue but there is clearly something going on here because Charlie NEVER used to do this before. He just randomly started doing it recently.

And that's not all! This past week he has added dumping his food bowl over to the list. I am not sure why he is doing this either! He just dumps it out all onto the floor. Every time we fill it up. And then eats it through out the day. So we have a dog food mess on our floor basically all the time because once we put the food back in the bowl... he just dumps it again.

One of his newest issues. He is eating Bear's toys! He chewed through 3 of Bear's plastic toys and a binky. He also chewed through a cat toy that we were playing with him (Charlie) with which is sort of not a big deal but it was made of plastic and he SHREDDED it all under our bed so it is in a million pieces under there and it would be very difficult for us to clean it up with out moving the bed (which is like imposable).  Not to mention, he ruined the FIRST thing I ever bought for Bear. When I found out I was pregnant I bought him a cute little sheep lovie. It was very extremely special to me. And Charlie took it under our bed and tore it to shreds. I am so very upset about this.

And last but not least... he is now eating Bear's bottles! Ripping the nipples off tearing them to shreds and attempting to drink the formula inside. Those bottles are $5 a piece and we are now down to about 6 that have not been torn up. This really has got to stop! And now we can't put Bear on the mat on the floor with toys or a bottle unless we lock Charlie in the room because we never know when he is going to go to town on them! And when we leave the house we have to make sure all the toys and all the bottles and all the diapers and the binkys are all out of his reach. Because we have come home several times to a huge disaster in our house and a lot of things ruined.

Oh Charlie, I have not the slightest idea what to do with you! I hope and pray that you knock it off because my patients is running very very thin at this point. I am SOOOO close to giving up and putting you on Craigslist! The main thing holding me back is that you were the dog that we got when I was pregnant. You are the dog in all the pictures with Bear as a tiny baby I was hoping so badly for you to grow with Bear and for the two of you to become great pals. But at this point I do not think the aggravation is worth it. You were a good dog... what happened?
P.S. He is NOT allowed on Bear's boppy or on any of his blankets either this was taken in the morning, Bear's boppy fell off the bed during the night and Charlie had been sleeping in it all night long. Next to him (the blue blanket) is his blanket that we keep on the floor next to our bed for him to sleep on.

STRESS and Shop Banners

I have been so completely stressed and overwhelmed lately! This is the reason for my blog not having any picture updates, because it actually takes more than 10 minutes to make a post with pictures in it.

Bear is 14 weeks old today but according to my blog he is only 12 because I never had the time to post the 13 week update nor did I have time to post pictures onto the 12 week update from two weeks ago.

I had lots of blog posts lined up for the past few days inducing ones about our Easter and Spring Break which were like almost 2 weeks ago that I have yet to post!

And oh dear God you should see my house! The dining room table is covered in crayons, the kitchen counters are covered in molds, the living room has baby stuff scattered everywhere. There are piles of clean laundry stacked in chairs and laundry baskets still overflowing with dirty laundry. The bathroom is a mess and needs to be scrubbed. The kitchen floor is rainbow with crayon flakes and the stove is splotched with melted wax. Just about the only thing that is clean is the spare bathroom!

On top of that we ran out of paper towels last night and my dog keeps peeing on the carpet for reasons unknown and now we have to use our cloth towels to clean it up because we can not afford to buy paper towels. And we only have 4 cloth towels at that. I love Charley but he really needs to knock it off! We can not afford for him to be peeing everywhere. And we just got our carpet steamed about a week ago by the complex who only do it once a year!

I get up at 5 AM and go to work, to come home to a mess but can not clean it because I have to cook dinner for my starving boyfriend and then make crayons so we can launch our Etsy shop that should have launched on March 31st (11 days ago)! I am so completely overwhelmed. And all the stress has caused me to gain 5.5 lbs! Yea you heard it I am now 128! >:[ I am so very angry about this! I have been eating less and yet I am still gaining weight. At this rate my fat pants are not going to fit anymore!

And yes Anthony does help me cook and clean and make crayons but Bear is not a very tolerable baby. He always wants to be held or needs something so one of us has to take care of him while the other does something else or else he will be screaming his head off. This is also the reason Anthony can not get anything done while I am at work, because watching Bear is a 24/7 thing there is maybe 30 minutes out of the whole day that you can get things done in.

Ok rant over!

Now for some good stuff! I made the banner/reserved listing/avatar for our Etsy shop yesterday! I made these in Photoshop all by myself and I am so very proud! Even though they are like super simple and just about anyone with 2 brain cells could have made them lol.

The banner :]

The avatar

And the reserved listing image
I was originally going to put our train shaped crayons that we made around the words but than I got to thinking that may look odd with the typed text so I went with this cute little train instead. :] At this point I have no earthly clue when our shop will launch but I am really hoping it is soon. We still have to finish making crayons, start taking pictures, and make the listings, so that is going to take some time, but we do have I believe at least 1/3 of the crayons made at this point. Maybe in 2 weeks-ish? Who knows.

Hope everyone has a great (stress free) Thursday!

Charlie's Story

Hello, my name is Charlie and this is my story.
I was born on November 28th 2009 in Lakeland, FL.
My doggie parents were both pure bred Dachshunds.
I had an awesome human family with a mom, a dad, a brother, and a sister too!
I even had 3 doggie siblings!
I loved to watch TV with my daddy and run around in my super cool fenced in back yard.
Sometimes I even sat around in ant beds and got all bit up.
That made me itchy, so my family put cream on my belly.
I thought it was yummy so I tried to lick it off.
But then my family put a sweater on so I couldn't lick it :[
I was a super happy dog.
Until one day my family got my sister a kitten for her Birthday.
That little kitten tore me up and fought with me every minute she could!
So my family put a big ol' sign in the front yard.
I don't know what it said cuz I can't read.
All I know is a few hours later I went to live with my new mommy and daddy.
I got into the car and took a really long ride with my new mommy.
When the ride was over we went into a different house and met my new daddy!
I missed my old family but I LOVED my new family and still do!
They take me for walks and feed me lots of yummy food.
Daddy is my favorite. We always hang out.
We like to play video games together.
And he even used to let me sleep with him before he got that evil high bed that I can't jump into.
He never puts me in that doggie jail cage like my old family did either.
When my daddy leaves I always cry.
I miss him so much and always wait by the door and watch out the window to see when he's coming home.
When he gets here I jump up and down and bark and smile and greet him.
I am always so happy to see him!

Lately my mommy and daddy have been putting this funky necklace on me!
Not the kind of necklace you go for a walk with.
This one shocks me when I try to bark or howl because they are gone and I want them to come home.
I don't like this necklace.
Maybe they are mad at me for barking.
I am just sad that they left me at home alone.

Two months ago my mommy and daddy had a baby.
It's a boy named Bear and he's my new little brother!
I love my brother so much.
I always try to protect him.
I like to lay down next to him, although most of the time my mommy and daddy make me move.
When he cries I always hear him first and run to make sure he is okay.
Sometimes I am a bad doggie and I give him kisses.
I get in trouble for that, but I still do it because I love him!
Me and Bear are best friends.
We hang out all the time. (Well... when my mommy lets us)
I hope my new family keeps me forever and never gets a new kitten.
Maybe I will stop pooping on the carpet and covering it up with clothes just to make sure they don't want to replace me!.... NAH! They love me too much!
I can pretty much get away with anything.
I love my family.

Crochet Fail

While I was staying with my sister, she decided to try an attempt to teach me how to crochet. She is really good at it, and makes it look super easy, so I figured, "Hey! how hard could it be?". Lets just say... crocheting isn't easy. I am good at some stuff but this definitely not one of them! At first the loops were too loose and then they were just way too tight, it was almost impossible to do. I may try this again sometime, but I am not so sure if I will, as it really just does not seem like my thing.

This is what I was *trying* to make. (For Bear)

My sister started it out for me...

And this is how far I got before I gave up lol.

My sister made a stuffed Tardis! She's so good at like EVERYTHING on the planet :O
