Goodbye Dirty House (Finally!)

My roommates are finally gone! Woo Hoo! Oooooooh Yeaaaaaaa! Seriously I want to get up on the desk and do a little victory dance right now! (that is probably a bad idea seeing as I am almost 9.5 months pregnant lol).

They left for good yesterday December 19th. They left their vacuum and a bookcase thingy so they said they will be back to get it once I come back from Kissimmee in February. (BOO!) but w.e. I am just glad they are gone. Now my house will actually STAY clean when I clean it! instead of being dirty again like 20 minutes later. Well idk how well it will stay clean once Anthony moves in lol but I don't mind cleaning up after him at all.

I am so exited to feel like my house really is MY house and be 100% comfortable in it again! Not to mention, I now have a whole house, not just a bedroom, bathroom, and a shared kitchen. I can watch TV on the couch! and hey I can even take a nap there too if I wanted to. And no cats or poop boxes! And my house wont smell horrible anymore either! Oh and now I can stop hiding food in my room to prevent my roommates from eating/stealing it, Oh happy day! :D Having roommates was nice (kinda) but it is something I will NEVER EVER EVER.....EVER do again. I just can not tolerate living with people that are not my family. Guess it's a good situation for some people but definitely not for me. I am glad I tried it out so now I know. It was a learning experience and for that I am thankful.

They are renting a 3 bedroom apartment with two other people.... I wish them all the best of luck. I really do.

Check out these before and after pictures of my apartment!

BEFORE
This is the kitchen floor, I have no idea why but that big nasty spot always came back !

AFTER
All better now!

BEFORE
The stove, I think this is what bothered me the most!

AFTER
What a beautiful sight :]

BEFORE
As you can see my roommates had my whole living room un-livable. And not to mention the cats!

AFTER
Woo Hoo! I got my living room back!

Now for some random before pics.
The pile of dishes that always came back 10 minutes after I washed them.
The mess on the dining room table.
This is my roommates shower curtain. Yes that IS mold! EWE! Thank God they took the thing with them.

And here are some random after pics.
So fresh and clean! :]
This is Bear's room all ready to be decorated.
Yes I even scrubbed down the microwave :]
I still have some cleaning to do but for the most part, it is all done and ready for Bear, Anthony, and Charlie to come home to. I still have to set up Bear's room though, which I don't think I will be doing until after he arrives because I still don't know the color of his bedding yet. I am so exited to that BTW :P !!!

ZOMG FLEAS!! :O

"ZOMG FLEAS!!!!" Was my reaction to the state of my apartment on Friday afternoon. While my house is now clean (I will make a post about that later on in the week) I now have a flea infestation! There are no animals in my house so they are feasting on me, my roommates claim they are not biting them so I guess I just taste better :/

I assume this problem came from the fact that there were cats in my house with fleas and now that the cats are gone the fleas need food so they are trying to eat me instead.... lovely. This is actually the FIFTH flea infestation I have had this year! I am so sick and tired of fleas.

This time I resorted to calling the professionals... Orkin. They charged me $195 to get my house treated for fleas and roaches. And they are going to come back every two months for more roach treatments at $77 a treatment. I am satisfied with thier roach treatment. However... the fleas... that's another story.

They came out to treat my house on Saturday the day after I called them. The tech came in and did his assessment and told me "You don't have a flea problem." and even though I paid for my house to get treated for fleas he didn't do the treatment nor did he adjust the price. He kinda talked like he did SOME sort of treatment because he told me to call back if the problem persisted. So I assumed he had at least done something! But when I read the paper work he left, I saw that he didn't treat my house for fleas at all.

And the worst part... the fleas are multiplying and getting worst fast! I called Orkin back up, and they told me that they would call me back with an appointment time when one became available. I'm not gonna lie, I am more than worried that they won't call me back. I really hope I didn't just waste almost $200 and now am still left with a major flea problem that HAS to be resolved in less than 5 days (when I leave for Kissimmee).

Lord please help me.

In other news... Today is the 17th and my roommates... they are still lounging at my place. SIGH. I decided to extend my grace and let them stay until the 19th. Really I am going to have a cow if they are not gone by Wednesday afternoon.

Today I am also getting an ultrasound to see Bear's growth progress and I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow to get another NST and go over the results of the ultrasound.

I will be posting a MTM later on today. And as for the December Photo-a-Day challenge, I am currently stuck on a photo, so until I can get that one photo, I won't be posting any of those. But there will be a big make up post as soon as I can get it :]

Have a great Monday!

OB Update (& Roommate Update too!)

Update from my OB visit on December 11th.

I was 36 weeks + 1 day at this visit

Vitals: all vitals looked good, including urine, weight, temperature, and blood pressure

Weight: At my last appointment I was 134 and hadn't gained any weight in 4 weeks. At this appointment I was 140! :O I almost want to say that that scale MUST be wrong, how could I have gained 6 pounds in just two weeks! Yikes! This kind of scares me, I know I still haven't gained too much but I don't want to gain more weight that I have to. I have gained a total of 29 lbs since I got pregnant.

Uterus: My uterus is measuring at 33 to 34 weeks, still behind by 2-3 weeks, I suppose it is good that it is still indeed steadily growing though.

NST: I got my first ever NST at this appointment! I never had one before with Seth so this was a new experience with me. My doctor said that my baby was happy and not in distress. WOO what a relief! The test also revealed that I was having tiny contractions, the nurse said these may just be Braxton Hicks. I could not feel any contractions, so they must have been really small, when I looked at the lines that she showed me on the chart that showed the contractions it looked like they were coming at a steady rate.

Notes: My doctor checked for Group B Strep and did the first exam to check on my cervix. He did confirm that Bear has indeed dropped even more. He said he is VERY low and he could even feel his head when he was doing my cervix exam. While my cervix is still closed and not dilated at all he said it was very soft and thinning out so Bear is "thinking" about coming out soon. He also ordered one last ultrasound to check on his growth, I have to go to that on Monday December 17th and then I have another appointment with my normal doctor again on Tuesday December 18th. I am now going to doctors appointments once a week and they are going to be doing an NST every time I go.

ROOMMATE UPDATE!
This update is the first KINDA good update about my roommates. When I came home from work on Monday I found a paper on my door from my apartment management. The paper stated that I needed to renew my lease by December 31st. It also stated that in order to sign a new lease I have to pass the apartment exam, and that they are doing the exam on Thursday December 13th whether I want them to or not. This immediately put me into super freak out mode because I had my roommates in my apartment (not on the lease) and their cats (also not on the lease)! And it wasn't like they could just leave for the day because it was very extremely obvious that more than one person lives in my house. And not to mention the fact that my house was STILL a mess and needed to be spotless for the exam in.... two days! SO I had to come up with a solution. Once I did come up with a solution, the problem kind of turned into a relief :] I decided to rent my roommates a storage unit since they claim they have no money (who knows if that is actually true or not). I told them that everything must be out of my house by Wednesday night including their cats and agreed to let them crash on my couch until they were able to sleep in their own apartment around the 19th. They did not seem to have a problem with this. Yesterday we cleaned the rest of the kitchen and it looks fantastic. They moved out half of their stuff but there is still a TON to go, and a lot of cleaning to do on their part, the floors still need to be vacuumed, their room and bathroom still needs to be cleaned, and the cats messy litter room also needs to be cleaned, as well as some other random things. I am quite nervous that they will not get this done by the end of today! I went to sleep last night at 8 PM and they said before I went to sleep it would be done by the morning and when I woke up, the house looked exactly the same as it did when I went to sleep. There was even more cat vomit on my freshly scrubbed floors and a pile of new dirty dishes in the sink! (after I specifically told them to wash the dishes and not to pile them up). For now I am just going to hope for the best maybe I will be pleasantly surprised when I come home from work today, if not, I will probably be pulling an all-nighter to make sure it all gets done. But either way this is a good thing because the ball is finally rolling and things are getting done. I should be able to start on the nursery this weekend too. I really hope that the house stays clean for the rest of the time that they are here and that they do not trash it once again before they leave next week. God please help me.

1 Month of Blogging!

I started my blog 1 month ago yesterday! (happy dance). Even though I only have two followers and a little over 200 views, I am really enjoying this blog. It has given me something to look forward to, something to keep my mind off daily stresses, something to consume what little amount of time I have on my hands, and a way to vent when I need to. I truly am so glad that I started it.

Future goals for my blog:

1. Sponsor another blog
2. Get at least 1,000 views
3. Get at least 20 followers
4. Find more link ups that interest me
5. Get more informative content
6. Grow as my family grows (because when Bear comes my blog will probably be focused more on him)
7. Keep having fun!

Thank you everyone for reading! It has been a great month and I am so exited to continue on this blogging journey.

ROOMMATE UPDATE:
I woke up this morning to find... a horrible stench coming from the kitchen. I soon realized this stench was steaming from the magical box that washes my dishes. I guess somehow the drainage got clogged and now there is a ton of nasty dishwater at the bottom of the washer. I am glad that my roommates washed their dishes... I am NOT glad that my dishwasher is now broken! >:[ I am not so mad at the fact that it broke (because I live in an an apartment), as I am that I can't get it fixed because their cats and disgustingness are there filling my apartment. They told me on November 23 that they were going to find someone to watch their cats and here we are on December 7th, two weeks later and the cats are still in my house reaking havoc. I am not supposed to have cats in my apartment at all so if I call maintenance to fix my dishwasher I could get in trouble. So now I will have to wash all my dishes by hand until they leave, which is not soooo bad but the thing is, I often wash their dishes too and there is no way in hell I am going to wash their mountain of dishes by hand! That would take 5 hours! :[ I just wish they would keep their word for once and actually get a storage unit and get their cats out of there so I can do what I need to do because everyday that goes by they are cutting into the short two weeks that I am supposed to be spending alone with Anthony before our baby comes. They said they would be gone by the 15th, I guess I just got to keep telling myself only one more week! This makes me feel better but then I often realize that they don't ever keep their word so chances are they will still be in my apartment come the 20th and I will be forced to change the locks. :[ SIGH.
